Buddha — Amber Light of the Awakened — Portrait Wall Art · 6 H : 4 W

This artwork is printed in 5 sizes, from 60 H × 40 W cm up to 120 H × 80 W cm. The smallest is comfortable on its own in a hallway, entry or reading nook, and an easy building block for a gallery grid; the largest is sized to anchor a feature wall and be the first thing anyone sees in the room.

The same artwork is also offered in Portrait 7 : 5 — every size is produced to order, so the finish and colours match whichever you choose.

This artwork depicts the Buddha seated in a stable lotus posture, his right hand raised in the Vitarka Mudra, the gesture of discussion and transmission of knowledge. The rendering is soft and painterly, highlighting the graceful folds of the robes draped over one shoulder and the fine, textured curls of the hair. A brilliant circular halo emanates from behind the head, casting a gentle light across the serene features and the urna mark on the forehead.

The composition is anchored by a rich palette of deep amber, burnt orange, and golden yellows. The background features a subtle, mottled texture reminiscent of aged parchment or a sun-drenched stone wall, which adds depth to the ethereal subject. The play of light and shadow on the figure creates a three-dimensional effect that draws the eye toward the central point of calm.

A thoughtful choice for a dedicated meditation space, yoga studio, or a quiet corner of a study, this piece brings a sense of grounded tranquility to a room. It makes a meaningful housewarming or birthday gift for those who find inspiration in Buddhist philosophy or the pursuit of mindfulness. Available framed in solid timber or brushed aluminium, or unframed, to suit your space.
