Privacy Policy

Lumora Home is an Australian home-décor business. We operate as (a) the seller of our own curated products (ready-made posters, wall art, lighting, homewares and similar goods) and (b) a made-to-order printing service for custom designs created in our studio or supplied by users. This policy covers personal information handled in both capacities.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact & delivery details — name, email, phone, and shipping/billing address.
• Order information — items ordered, customisations, order history and correspondence.
• Payment information — processed securely by our third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers. Bank-transfer/PayID references you provide are retained to reconcile your order.
• Account & sign-in data — if you sign in, an identifier and email from our central authentication provider.
• Content you provide — artwork, images and design choices you upload or create (see section 9).
• Technical & usage data — IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed and similar analytics, collected via cookies and similar technologies (with your consent where required).
• Communications — messages, reviews, enquiries and reports you send us.
• Notification registration — if you allow notifications, a subscription issued by your browser’s push service (an address for that browser, plus encryption keys) and a description of the device, so we can send to it. It identifies a browser, not you personally.
• Location — if you allow it, your device’s coordinates and their accuracy, the IP address of the request, and the state and nearest city we work out from them. A reading can only be taken while you have our site open in your browser: we cannot and do not track your location in the background, after you close the site, or in any other app.

You can browse as a guest. If you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to fulfil your order or provide a service.

We collect personal information directly from you (when you order, create a design, sign in, contact us or submit a review or report), automatically through cookies and analytics as you use the site, and from third parties such as our authentication provider and payment providers. Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you.

We use personal information to:

• process, produce, fulfil and deliver your orders, and handle returns;
• take and reconcile payment, and detect and prevent fraud;
• provide customer support and respond to your enquiries, reviews and reports;
• create and manage your account and order history;
• operate, secure, analyse and improve our website and services;
• send you order and service updates, and — only with your consent — marketing;
• with your consent, send notifications to a device you have registered;
• with your consent, work out which state or city you are in, so we can show what is relevant, plan delivery, and decide which regions to offer promotions in; and
• comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and, where you have consented, for analytics that help us understand and improve how the site is used. You can manage non-essential analytics through the consent controls on the site and via your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

We may disclose personal information to trusted third parties who help us run our business, including:

• payment providers (to process payments);
• couriers and logistics providers (to deliver your order);
• our authentication, hosting, infrastructure and analytics providers;
• professional advisers, and regulators or law-enforcement where required or authorised by law.

We do not sell your personal information. We require our service providers to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we engage them for.

Some of our service providers (for example, cloud hosting, authentication or analytics) may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, encryption in transit and hashing of sensitive identifiers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here or to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which we take reasonable steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.

For location specifically: we keep a short history of places rather than a log of every reading. Repeat readings from somewhere we have already recorded simply update that entry’s “last seen” date, so a long stay at one address is a single record. We keep at most 25 places per person and no entry older than two years, except your current one. Turning location off in Your Account deletes this history immediately.

Some designs are created, provided and/or uploaded by users and community creators, not by Lumora Home. When acting as a printing service we do not own or claim any copyright or other intellectual-property rights in user-provided artwork; the person who supplies it is responsible for holding all necessary rights. If you believe any artwork infringes your copyright, please report it promptly to hello@lumorahome.com.au with proof of ownership and we will promptly review and remove it. We only send marketing communications where you have consented, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us. We will still send you essential transactional messages about your orders.

Notifications and location are separate, entirely optional choices, and neither is needed to browse or to buy. You can turn either on or off at any time in Your Account, where you can also see which devices are registered and the places we hold. Turning notifications off stops that device receiving them; turning location off both stops collection and deletes the history. You can also revoke either permission in your browser’s own site settings, which we cannot override.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, consistent with APPs 12 and 13. To make a request, email hello@lumorahome.com.au. We may need to verify your identity, and will respond within a reasonable period.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@lumorahome.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the “last updated” date shown above. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
