Frequently Asked

Everything you might want to know about our made-to-order wall art and custom posters — how they’re made and shipped, pricing, timing and customs, returns and support.

Products & Materials

What products does Lumora Home sell?
We make wall art, custom posters, art prints, framed prints and lighting for Australian homes. Most art is made to order in your chosen size and finish, so it fits your space and your style.
What print finishes can I choose?
Our main finishes are the Poster / Print finish (crisp, vivid, colour-accurate) and the Painting finish (raised, textured brush-strokes with a hand-made feel). See the Painting Finish guide and Poster / Print guide for the full picture.
Do you offer framed art, and what frames are available?
Yes — many pieces can be framed, including natural wooden frames in several colours. Framing is protective and gallery-ready, and every framed print is packed carefully for the journey to you.
What sizes are available?
Because pieces are made to order, we offer a wide range of sizes and ratios (portrait, landscape and square). The product page shows a true-shape preview so you can see the exact proportions before you buy.
What is the difference between a poster, a print and a painting finish?
A poster / print is a smooth, high-resolution reproduction — sharp and colour-true. A painting finish adds a textured, brush-stroked surface so the piece reads like an original artwork. Both are made to order in your size.

Custom & Design

Do I need to provide my own graphics or artwork?
Not at all. You can design a custom poster in our studio using our tools, choose from our catalogue, or upload your own image — whatever suits you. If you have your own artwork, great; if not, you can create one from scratch.
Can I upload my own photo or design?
Yes. You can upload your own image and turn it into a custom poster or framed print. For the sharpest result, use the highest-resolution file you have — larger prints benefit from more detail.
What image quality or resolution do I need for a good print?
Higher resolution always prints better, especially at large sizes. If an image is a little small for the size you want, our editor can help fill and fit it — but a crisp, high-resolution original gives the best, sharpest result.
Can you help me design or resize my poster?
Yes — the studio editor lets you crop, resize, re-centre and fit your art to any ratio, with a true-shape preview so there are no surprises. If you want a different size or ratio later, you can reopen the design and tweak it.
Will the printed colours match what I see on screen?
We print to match your artwork faithfully, and every order passes a quality check before it ships. Screens vary in brightness and colour, so tiny differences are normal, but we work hard to keep colour true.
Are custom and made-to-order pieces one-of-a-kind?
Custom pieces are produced specifically for your order — your art, your size, your finish. Hand-finished options like the Painting finish naturally vary slightly piece to piece, which is part of their charm.

Pricing

Is the price I see the final price?
Yes. The price shown is exactly what you pay. It already covers the full journey — making, framing, freight, customs and delivery — so there are no surprise fees at checkout or on arrival.
Why is your made-to-order art so affordable?
Because pieces are made in batches and shipped by sea cargo rather than air, we keep the cost down and pass the saving to you — without cutting the quality of the print or framing.
Is shipping included in the price?
The price shown covers the item’s journey to you as described. Any specific shipping details for your order are made clear at checkout — there are no hidden add-ons after you pay.
What does “rounded down” mean on some prices?
Where a calculated price lands just over a whole dollar, we round it down in your favour to the whole dollar — so you pay the lower, tidier amount.

Making & Where

Where are your posters and prints made?
Our pieces are designed to Australian standards and crafted overseas (South-East Asia / Asia) in batches, which is how we keep beautiful, made-to-your-size art affordable while maintaining quality.
How is my order made?
Your order goes through graphics & printing → making & framing → a quality check → protective packaging before it ships. Those steps are fully in our control, and nothing leaves without passing inspection.
Do you check quality before shipping?
Always. Every made-to-order piece is quality-checked and packed to survive a long journey. Quality and delivery are assured — only the exact arrival time can vary.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does delivery take?
Because items are made to order and shipped by sea in batches, please allow a good amount of time for arrival — noticeably longer than an off-the-shelf item. We keep you updated on your order status the whole way.
How are orders shipped?
Most made-to-order pieces travel by sea cargo freight, then through port, customs and local transport before final delivery to your door. Sea freight is what keeps the price affordable.
Do you deliver Australia-wide?
Yes — we ship Australia-wide. Wherever you are in the country, your made-to-order art can reach you.
Will I be able to track my order?
We keep you posted on your order status as it moves through production and shipping, so you always know roughly where it’s up to.
Why does made-to-order take longer than fast shipping?
Nothing sits in a warehouse — your piece is produced specifically for you and then travels by sea. That journey takes time, but it’s exactly what keeps the price low and the quality high.

Customs & Delays

Why do some orders get delayed in customs?
Shipping and customs clearance are handled by carriers and authorities — steps that are genuinely out of our direct control. Occasional customs holds can add time, and unfortunately no seller can speed those up.
What happens if my order is stuck in customs?
We stay on it and keep you informed. Customs holds resolve in time, and your piece is still covered by our delivery-or-refund guarantee if something genuinely goes wrong in transit.
