Styling Wall Art Room by Room

31 March 2026·5 min read

The “right” art changes with the room’s job. Here’s a fast cheat-sheet for the spaces people ask about most.

Living room

Go large over the sofa — one big piece or a balanced trio, filling ~two-thirds of the sofa width. This is your statement wall; let it lead the palette.

Bedroom

Calm and symmetrical above the bed — a single wide piece or a matched pair. Soft, restful tones beat high-contrast graphics here.

Kids’ room, office & hallway

  • Kids’ room — playful, swappable, hung a little lower so it’s at their eye level.
  • Home office — something that energises without distracting on video calls; a personal custom poster works well.
  • Hallway — a gallery wall or a rhythm of same-size frames turns dead space into a moment.

Tip: Repeat one colour from the room in the art, and the whole space instantly feels intentional.
