Both are excellent, hang-ready prints — but they age very differently. Here’s the honest head-to-head.
Colour & finish
Crystal Board’s clear top layer gives deeper, punchier colour and a glossy sheen. Canvas is softer and more matte, with a woven texture some people prefer for traditional art.
Durability & humidity
- Crystal Board is rigid and sealed — it won’t sag, ripple or absorb moisture, so it’s fine in kitchens and bathrooms.
- Canvas can slacken or ripple over time and doesn’t love humidity.
Cleaning & weight
- Crystal Board wipes clean with a damp cloth; canvas can’t really be cleaned.
- Both are light, but Crystal Board’s rigidity makes it feel more premium and hang flatter.
Tip: Rule of thumb: choose canvas for a soft, traditional texture; choose Crystal Board for vivid colour, durability and near-zero upkeep.
